Locked and loaded

We’re 100 days away from Hot Wax launch. This is where the rubber hits the road.

It might sound like a lot of time but by publishing metrics it’s the blink of an eye. Especially because we’re leaning into the maximalist ethos of the book and there’s a lot left to do. And for a while, production has been doing most of the heavy lifting. Now, though, more focus is shifting back to me, but in a different role than the past year and a half. Up until now, my job has been the craft itself with strategy on the side. Now, with the craft part done and dusted, my job is to switch gears from writer to author and get out there and get people fired up about the book. That’s now my Priority One until the thing reaches escape velocity.
