Normally I don’t do self-help books. I live a weird enough life that most of the all-purpose advice out there doesn’t really apply to me: I don’t work a nine to five job, I don’t have kids to take to school and soccer practice, I don’t even have a permanent address. Well-intentioned suggestions for improving sleep hygiene or meal-prepping every Sunday don’t do much for me. To be honest, most of this book was mostly the same—but I did find one tidbit which has helped me reframe how I think about surviving as a creative professional.
